BLOGGING FM - FREQUENCY MODULATED

I am visiting my blog after a long, long time.
The reason for the hiatus is WORK. Here goes the list:

  • Two daughters - way too much to handle, at least for me. It is fun and frustrating and fulfilling, but it is very definitely WORK.
  • Full-time job as teacher in a college - paper correction, tutorial checking, class lectures, and election-duty-whenever-there-are-elections.
  • New part-time job as copywriter - now that I have to go twice a week, it is simply not leaving any free time for me. Although I am lovin' it, the deadlines, the thinking from the other point of view, the variety of products we work on...

Earlier, I used to blog about once a week, sometimes twice. I would feel restless and guilty if I did not post anything in a week. But blogging is my stressbuster, something that I love to do. So, why should I get hassled about not being able to blog?

Now, I have made peace with my inner compulsive blogger. Now, the frequency will lessen. It'll have to, if I have to manage two kids, two jobs, one spouse (as of yet) and one self (which needs some amount of sleep).

Maybe once a fortnight, or once a month. Maybe, whenever I feel like. Maybe, if and when I find time. Maybe...

HOW OFTEN DO YOU BLOG?

'one spouse (as of yet)' was an interesting comment. Indeed. ;)

Take it easy for now, Sucharita- don't get stressed about blogging!

You obviously have a lot going on right now, and of course daughters and job [ and spouse :)] are more important than blogging!

Do take care of yourself, too...

Copywriter? That is great. You do have your hands full :)
All the best.
I blog when the head threatens to burst due to all the ideas jammed there! Then I draft them and post at leisure. Though a lil tied up myself these days:(

You know what, yours was the first blog I commented on when I first started blogging. This announcement of yours kind of makes it feel as if its the end of an era....

Please dont stop blogging. I enjoy your writing hugely.

Nevertheless, I hope you put our blogger meets high on your list, and we will look forward to hearing all about your new activities when we meet....

Blog when you can .... that is the advantage of a hobby.
But ... it is great to know someone who has been spending 24 hours of a day so effectively..

For me also, blogging is a stress-buster. I try to blog once a week. As regards one spouse, sometimes one may be too many.

You have just taken my feelings and put them on your post..its so unfair!! what do i write now? I have not been bloghopping for a while, not being posting, not being replying to the comments, i am feeling guilty of it all, but I cannot manage, and I have to live up to that reality!!

Go easy on yourself -- a not-quite-3 week hiatus is perfectly sane. If you know you love it, you know you'll be back.

I so agree! I also used to try and blog once a week and now, I just posted something after a month! That's just how it is! But, do maintain your blog even if you post less frequently!
